Ceylon Glass awards LKR one Billion Civil contract to Maga Engineering Services
 

Ceylon Glass company recently gained BOI status under the President’s “300 factory Programme” with its intention of moving out of Colombo and relocating its factory in Horana.  The company proposes to build a state of the art Glass Plant by doubling its present capacity to 205 Metric tonnes of glass per day.
 
Maga Engineering Company which is one of the best in the trade, won the civil contract for this project worth over LKR 1 billion against all odds after competing with several Local & International civil contractors said the Chairman of Ceylon Glass, Mr Vijay Shah

Maga Engineering is a highly reputed Engineering company in Sri Lanka & has been rated amongst the top 50 highly respected  companies in the country. They were the only Construction company to be selected in this category .

Mr M G Kularatne, the Managing Director of Maga Engineering  ,thanked the management of Ceylon Glass and said that the  construction work  will immediately start and also assured that they would complete the project of building a state of the art glass plant at Horana within stipulated agreed time frame.

Mr. Vijay Shah, Chairman & Mr. Sanjay Tiwari CEO /Executive Director of Ceylon Glass & Mr M G Kularatne of Maga Engineering Company, signed this agreement on 27th August 2006.  The above ceremony of awarding the contract was concluded in the presence of the Consortium of Bankers participating in the funding ,  BOI Chairman and the Directors of the CGC.
